A Taste Of Tanzania - 2 Week African Adventures

Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tangire NP, Usambara Mountains, Tanga

Day 1

Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport, we drive you to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or hotel.

Day 2

We get an early breakfast depart from Arusha with a packed lunch enroute for Tarangire National park. This will be your first taste of game viewing, safari to late afternoon, before we drive Ngorongoro Crater rim where you spend a night in the lodge or campsite.

Day 3

We have a full day Safaris exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area. Other volcanoes within the complex include Olmoti, Empakaai, Loolmalasin, Sadiman, Lemagrut, and Oldeani. Approximately 25,000 large animals, in the area including Black Rhinoceros, Lion, Wildebeest, Hippopotamus and many bird species. We go back to camp or lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast we explore Lake Manyara national park, this tropical rain forest offers you remarkable wildlife, along the shores of this soda lake, we will also see hundred's of bird species that can be observed. Occasionaly tree climbing lions can be seen. After we drive to Arusha for late afternoon, then dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 5

Enjoy an interesting drive and get to experience many villages on the journey, get a taste of modern Tanzanian life, as we travel from Arusha to Usambara Mountains (Lushoto).

Day 6

After a good breakfast we depart and set off from Lushoto to Lukozi, the adventure begins in the beautiful Usambara mountains.

Day 7

From Lukozi, we walk along the valleys of native bush and sloping hillsides,Passing by vegetable farm line with eucalyptus and Banana trees you pass through the village of Kilindi, Mkose and Kagulio, until you reach Rangwi where you spend a night at Rangwi Mission Catholic or at guest house, before a wholesome village dinner and ovenight at Rangwi Catholic mission, a special space.

Day 8

From Rangwi to Mtae throgh village, chance to learn full traditional of Shamba tribe, experience local life, enjoy the views and multi-coloured sunset over dinner, before a well earned rest overnight at Mtae.

Day 9

Began early, catch the sunrise, sometimes from here Mt Kilimanjaro is in site the summit approx 250KM away on a clear day, then come back for breakfast, walk to Mtae Mtii and overnight at Mtae.

Day 10

We Drive from Mtae to Mkuzi waterfall the fall situated in the rain forest. Where you can relax your muscles in cool pool at the foot of the falls, before driving back to Lushoto for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 (3 nights)

We Drive from Lushoto to Pangani Via Tanga - Stay at a beautiful resort which is very serene with amazing beaches, this is low key and not swarming with tourists in comparison to Zanzibar. Multiple options for day activites available.
